Tigres acquire Vitalii Abramov from Gatineau

The Victoriaville Tigres added a great deal of firepower to their lineup on Thursday night, striking a deal with the Gatineau Olympiques to acquire reigning QMJHL scoring champion Vitalii Abramov, as well as a sixth round draft pick in 2018.

In return, the Tigres send the Olympiques a 2019 first round pick, second round picks in 2019 and 2020, and a 2018 fourth round pick.

Selected by Gatineau with the 13th overall pick in the 2015 CHL Import Draft, Abramov has taken part in 16 games this season, scoring 12 goals and adding 13 assists for 25 points. The five-foot-nine, 170 pound winger has a total of 222 points (96 goals, 126 assists) in 145 games played in the QMJHL, all with Gatineau.

Abramov will play his first game for the Tigres on Sunday, November 19, as Victoriaville will be hosting the Rimouski Océanic.
