Bathurst acquires German Rubtsov from Chicoutimi


The Acadie-Bathurst Titan have acquired German Rubtsov and a conditional second-round pick in 2020 from the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in exchange for Christopher Farmer, Vladimir Kuznetsov as well as first, second, and third round picks in 2020.

In 11 games this season with Chicoutimi. the 19-year-old forward has three goals and eight assists. He has recorded 12 goals and 33 points in 27 total games over the past two seasons with the Sagueneens. He was a first-round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2016.

Kuznetsov was the first overall pick of Bathurst in the 2015 CHL Import draft. In his two seasons in Bathurst he scored 55 goals and added 71 assists in 136 games. He left Bathurst at the end of last season to return home to play in Russia. Farmer was a fourth-round pick of Bathurst at the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft.

Bathurst will send a second-round pick in 2020 to Chicoutimi if Vladimir Kuznetsov does not report to the Sagueneens. The trade was made official by the QMJHL on November 2nd, 2017.
