Minnesota Wild sign Baribeau
On Monday, September 18, the Minnesota Wild announced they have signed goaltender Dereck Baribeau to a three-year entry-level contract.
Barbeau was invited to Minnesota prospect camp and appear in two games for the Wild in the prospect tournament posting an 875 save percentage. He split the last season between Val-d’Or and Quebec where he appears in 35 games and had a record of 12 wins 17 losses while picking up a shutout as well.
Baribeau is the second QMJHL goalie to be signed so far this month; last week Alex D’Orio was signed by Pittsburgh.
