Wildcats acquire Anderson MacDonald from Sherbrooke

The Moncton Wildcats made a big splash on Thursday by acquiring Anderson MacDonald and a conditional 2019 second round pick from Sherbrooke. In return, the Phoenix receive first-round picks in 2018 and 2019 as well as a second-round pick in 2019 and defenceman Jeremy Jacques.

The 17-year-old is coming off a strong rookie season with Sherbrooke where he scored 29 goals and added 12 assists in 50 games. Moncton will receive the second round pick if  Jeremy Jacques reports to Sherbrooke as he, so far, plans to go the NCAA route. Jacques was taken in the second round, 23rd overall, by Moncton at the draft this past June.
