Tigres acquire Sevigny, Gravel from Voltigeurs
The Victoriaville Tigres acquired Mathieu Sevigny and Jerome Gravel from the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Saturday June 3, 2017 during the 2017 QMJHL Draft.
In return, the Tigres send 17-year-old Cedric Desruisseaux and a first-round pick in 2020 to Drummondville. Victoriaville also received the 20th overall pick in 2017.
Sevigny, 19, scored 25 goals and 52 points in 58 games with the Voltigeurs last season and added two goals in three playoff games. The Quebec, Que., native was originally drafted 17th overall by the Voltigeurs in 2014.
Gravel, 18, split last season with the Voltigeurs and Acadie-Bathurst Titan where he had one goal and nine points in 58 games. The Titan originally drafted Gravel in the third round in 2015.
Desruisseaux, 17, was Victoriaville’s 17th overall pick in 2016. In 10 games with the Tigres this past season, the Victoriaville, Que., native scored one goal and three points. He spent a majority of the season with the Trois-Rivieres Estacades of the QMAAA where he had 30 goals and 50 points in 35 games.
The trade was made official by the QMJHL on Saturday.
