Sags, Titan swap defencemen


The Acadie-Bathurst Titan and Chicoutimi Sagueneens swapped defencemen on Saturday June 3, 2017 at the 2017 QMJHL Draft in Saint John, N.B.

Chicoutimi acquired 17-year-old Joakim Paradis and a second-round pick in 2017, 35th overall, from the Titan. The Titan received 18-year-old Keenan MacIsaac.

Paradis played 18 games last year split between the Gatineau Olympiques and the Titan scoring one goal while picking up 14 penalty mintutes and a minus-three rating.

MacIsaac scored two goals and 12 points in 51 games with the Sagueneens last season. The Hammonds Plains, N.S., native was drafted 19th overall by the Sagueneens in 2015 and has collected two goals and 19 points in 99 regular season career games.

The trade was made official by the QMJHL on Saturday.
