Tigres acquire defenceman Boivin from Titan

The Victoriaville Tigres acquired defenceman Felix Bovin and a sixth-round pick in 2018 from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Friday June 2, 2017.

In return, the Tigres send 18-year-old forward Felix Meunier and a third-round pick, 43rd overall in 2017, to the Titan.

Boivin, 19, scored 12 goals and 35 points in 67 games with the Titan. The Titan drafted the native of Quebec, Que., in the third round in 2014. The five-foot-seven, 166-pound frame defenceman has 15 goals and 55 points in 138 regular season games while adding two assists in 16 playoff games.

Meunier scored seven goals and 14 points in 54 games with the Tigres. The Sherbrooke, Que., native was a seventh round pick of the Tigres in 2015.

The trade was made official by the QMJHL on Friday. The QMJHL Draft is Saturday June 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. AST in Saint John, N.B.
