Gauthier, Highmore power Sea Dogs past Armada in Game One

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Julien Gauthier and Matthew Highmore each had two goals and an assist to lead the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 6-3 win over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada at Harbour Station on Friday.

With the win, the Sea Dogs take a 1-0 series lead in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League President Cup final.

Mathieu Joseph and Nathan Noel added single goals for the Sea Dogs.

TJ Melancon fired home two goals while Morgan Adams-Moisan chipped in with a goal for the Armada.

Callum Booth made 24 saves in the win for Saint John. Samuel Montembeault stopped 22 of 27 shots in the loss for Blainville-Boisbriand.

Game 2 of the series will take place on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Harbour Station in Saint John.
