Monday Night Wrap-Up: Huskies, Armada force game seven

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League second round continued on Monday with a pair of Game sixes taking place in Blainville-Boisbriand and Rouyn-Noranda.

In Blainville-Boisbriand, Que., Pierre-Luc Dubois had two goals and an assist as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada downed the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 4-1.

The best-of-seven series is tied 3-3.

TJ Melancon and Yvan Mongo also added goals for the Armada.

Jeffrey Truchon-Viel had the lone goal for the Titan.

Samuel Montembeault made 20 saves in the win for Blainville-Boisbriand. Reilly Pickard stopped 28 of 32 shots in the loss for Acadie-Bathurst.


In Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Alexandre Fortin had two goals and two assists while Jean-Christophe Beaudin had a goal and three assists as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies pounded the Chicoutimi Saguenéens 9-2.

The best-of-seven series is tied 3-3.

Jérémy Lauzon had two goals while Gabriel Fontaine, Manuel Wiederer, Philippe Myers and Jacob Neveu added single markers for the Huskies.

Joey Ratelle and Brendan Hamelin replied with goals for the Saguenéens.

Olivier Tremblay made 30 saves in the win for Rouyn-Noranda. Julio Billia stopped 16 of 21 shots before being replaced by Xavier Potvin, who stopped 11 of 15 shots in his 27:10 of relief. Billia was tagged with the loss.
