The Moncton Wildcats continued their extremely busy trade period as they acquired defenceman Maxime Baillargeon from the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles for a seventh-round pick in 2019.

Baillargeon, 19, is playing in his second full season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and has totalled six points in 36 games for the Screaming Eagles. He was originally selected in the eighth round, 140th overall by Cape Breton in the 2013 QMJHL draft.

The trade was made official by the QMJHL on Friday Jan. 6, 2017.
