Tigres acquire Thierus from Remparts


The Victoriaville Tigres acquired forward Lucas Thierus from the Quebec Remparts on Tuesday.

In exchange, the Tigres traded a sixth-round pick at the 2017 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft to the Remparts.

Thierus, 18, appeared in 51 games with the Remparts over the past two seasons, recording six goals and seven points, along with posting a minus-5 rating and eight penalty minutes.

The St-Jérôme, Que., native is currently playing with the Saint-Jérôme Panthères of the Quebec Junior Hockey League. In 20 games with the Panthères, Thierus has 19 goals and 32 points.

Victoriaville returns to action on Wednesday when they host Chicoutimi.
