Mooseheads’ Fortier joins Team QMJHL for final game of series


Maxime Fortier of the Halifax Mooseheads will join Team QMJHL for the final game of the CIBC Canada Russia Series.

The Mooseheads confirmed the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Fortier, 18, currently leads the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with 35 points, scoring 10 goals and adding 25 assists.

According to the Mooseheads website, Fortier will join the team as a injury replacement, however the injured player was not noted.

Game 6 of the CIBC Canada Russia Series will take place on Thursday at 7 p.m. EST at the Centre Henry-Leonard in Baie-Comeau, Que.
