Screaming Eagles’ Dubois named Team QMJHL captain


The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League named Pierre-Luc Dubois of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles the league’s team captain for the CIBC Canada Russia Series on Tuesday.

Dubois, 18, will serve as Team QMJHL captain for both games of the series on Tuesday in Chicoutimi, Que., and Thursday in Baie-Comeau, Que.

In 13 games with the Screaming Eagles this season, the Columbus Blue Jackets prospect has four goals and 11 points, along with posting a plus-5 rating and 14 penalty minutes.

In addition, the QMJHL also named its assistant captains for the series. Thomas Chabot of the Saint John Sea Dogs, Julien Gauthier of the Val-d’Or Foreurs, and Nicolas Roy of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens will each wear an ‘A’ for Team QMJHL.

Game 5 of the CIBC Canada Russia Series will take place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. EST in Chicoutimi, Que. Game 6 is set for Thursday at 7 p.m. EST in Baie-Comeau, Que.
