Miller shines in return for Armada
VICTORIAVILLE, QUE.: It was an impressive return to the ice for Shaun Miller of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Friday night, Nov. 11.
Miller, an Enfield, N.S. product, saw his first game action in more than a month in the Armada’s 7-0 shutout of the Victoriaville Tigres in Victoriaville. The Cole Harbour Major Midget Wolfpack alum had been sidelined since Oct. 2 due to a sprained ankle.
In the game against the Tigres, Miller scored his first of the year at 11:31 of the second period on a feed from Pascal Corbeil and Miguel Picard.
Just over two minutes later–and with the Armada on the power-play–Miller found the back of the net again at the 13:58 mark of the middle stanza. Joel Teasdale, the game’s first star, and TJ Melancon, named the third star, assisted on the goal.
Miller’s performance earned him second star honours.
He was plus/minus-+1 in the contest and two of his five shots on net were classified as dangerous.
The Armada now head home to face the Rouyn Noranda Huskies, who fell 4-3 in overtime on Friday night to Andrew Coxhead and his Quebec Remparts.
Game time between the Armada and Huskies is 4 p.m. Eastern.
