CONFIRMED: Two Olympiques players to play in Canada Russia Series

Team Russia will have two Gatineau Olympiques players on their roster when the club faces the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in the Canada Russia Series later this month.

Vitalii Abramov, a Columbus Blue Jackets prospect, and Yakov Trenin, a Nashville Predators prospect, will suit up for Team Russia on Nov. 15 in Chicoutimi, Que., and Nov. 17 in Baie-Comeau, Que. The two are the only QMJHL Russians selected for the team.

The news of the two Russians playing in the games is not surprising. It was reported last month Abramov and Trenin would play for Team Russia, however the club made the news official on Wednesday.
