NCAA Weekend Recap: Nov. 6-Nov. 8


First of all before I get off and running here, I would like to take a quick second to just give a BIG thank-you to the folks here at for giving me this chance to be able to go after something I have wanted to do for years; which is to publicly write about the game I fell in love with at a very early age. So a much necessary thanks to all.
Well week number six is in the books in the NCAA, and all I can say is that some big results took place that explains the changes in this weeks most recent poll.

#2 Boston College Eagles: Solid performances in net leads to two shutouts of the University of Maine.
#3 University of North Dakota: Split 3-1 decisions against the University of Wisconsin.
#4 Quinnipiac Bobcats: Remain undefeated with wins at home over Colgate University and Cornell.
#5 UMass Lowell: Sweeps the University of Vermont on the road in Burlington, Vt.
#6 University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks: Swept the University of Minnesota-Duluth with back-to-back 4-2 decisions.
#7 Harvard University Crimson: 2-2 tie Friday night agaisnt Yale University, and a 5-2 win Saturday night over Brown University.
#8 University of Denver Pioneers: Swept the Colorado College Tigers in Denver, Col0., this weekend with 5-1 and 3-1 results.
#10 Yale University Bulldogs: Tied the Harvard University Crimson on the road in Boston Friday, and picked up a 4-2 win on the road at Dartmouth University.
#11 Boston University Terriers: Swept the home-and-home series with the Notheastern University Huskies.
#13 University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs: Swept on the road at the University of Neraska-Omaha.
#14 Merrimack College Warrirors: Non-Conference 3-2 road win at Canisius College Griffins.
#15 Bowling Green State University Falcons: A pair of 1-1 ties on the road with the Lake Superior State Lakers.
#15 St Lawrence University Saints: 6-3 win home over the Union College Dutchmen, 4-3 loss at home to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers.
#17 University of Miami-Ohio Redhawks: Swept the University of Western Michigan Broncos with two 2-1 victories at home.
#18 University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish: Split decesions at the University of Minnesota with the Irish taking a 4-3 victory on Friday, and the Gopher taking Saturday’s title 4-1.
#19 Clarkson University Golden Knights: 2-2 tie at home Friday against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 4-1 loss to the Union College Dutchmen Saturday at home as well.
#20 Michigan Technical University Huskies: Sweep of the University of Alabama-Huntsville on the road with 4-2 and 2-1 results.
