Wildcats’ Askew to join Rangers for Traverse City tournament
Moncton Wildcats forward Cameron Askew will be heading to the 2015 edition of the NHL prospects tournament in Traverse City, Michigan.
Askew, 18, will take part in the tournament with the New York Rangers when the event opens Sept. 11-15.
The native of Boston, MA, confirmed the new via Twitter on Wednesday.

In 66 games with Moncton last season, Askew recorded 17 goals and 28 assists along with posting a minus-2 rating and 44 penalty minutes.
The eight-team tournament features prospect teams from the Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and the Rangers.
This past week, Acadie-Bathurst Titan forward Mark Simpson also joined the Rangers for the tournament.
