Flames sign former Olympique to one year deal
The Calgary Flames signed former Gatineau Olympiques forward Paul Byron to a one year contract, the team announced on Sunday.
Byron, a native of Ottawa, Ont., recorded six goals and 13 assists in 57 games last season with the Flames.
During his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League career, Bryon posted 91 goals and 120 assists in 184 games.
Byron was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres at the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft in round six, 179th overall.
