Former Rempart defenceman headed to Norway


Former Quebec Remparts defenceman Mikael Tam will continue his hockey career in Norway.

The 24-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Sparta Sarpsborg.

Last season, the native of Quebec City, Que., played with the Fort Wayne Komets of the East Coast Hockey League, notching one goal and three assists.

In 318 career Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games with the Remparts, Tam posted 53 goals and 87 assists, along with a plus-85 rating and 454 penalty minutes.
