Former Huskie and Drakkar joins ECHL’s Everblades
Former Quebec Major Junior Hockey League forward Maxime St-Cyr has agreed to terms with the Florida Everblades of the East Coast Hockey League.
St-Cyr, 21, appeared in all 68 games with the Drakkar this past season, recording 54 goals and 30 assists, along with posting a minus-12 rating and 30 penalty minutes.
The native of Trois-Rivières, Que., appeared in 264 career games between the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and the Drakkar, notching 118 goals and 85 penalty minutes.
“Maxime was a standout player in the QMJHL last season having led the league in goals,” said Everblades Head Coach Greg Poss in a press release. “He plays hard, and is a very tenacious player. We are looking for him to be a contributor on our team this season.”
St-Cyr becomes the third player to join the Everblades for the 2015-16 season. Forward Evan Bloodoff and defenseman Mark Nemec have both agreed to terms with the team.
