Former Huskies captain signs with AHL’s Senators
Former Rouyn-Noranda Huskies captain Ryan Penny has signed an AHL contract with the Binghamton Senators for the 2015-16 season. The Senators announced the news on Friday.
Penny, 20, wrapped up his final QMJHL season with the Huskies this past season scoring 32 goals and 70 points in 66 games.
Originally drafted by the Moncton Wildcats in the fourth round in 2010, Penny played with the Wildcats from the 2010-11 season until he was traded to the Huskies during the 2013-14 season.
In 305 regular season games, Penny accumulated 78 goals and 154 points and an additional nine goals and 17 points in 29 playoff games.
The Binghamton Senators are the AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.
