Bruins sign Sea Dogs defenceman Zboril to ELC

The Boston Bruins signed Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Jakub Zboril to an entry-level contract on Wedensday, the team announced.

Zboril was Boston’s 13th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in Sunrise, Fla., last month.

The Brno, Czech Republic native skated in 44 games with the Sea Dogs this past season scoring 13 goals and 33 points with a plus-two rating. Saint John drafted the six-foot-one, 185-pound frame fifth overall in the 2014 CHL Import Draft. He was named to the QMJHL All-Rookie Team.

Zboril also represented his native Czech Republic at the 2015 World Junior Junior Championships, scoring four goals and six points in five games.
