Former P.E.I. Rocket forward signs with Wilkes-Barre Scranton
A former Quebec Major Junior Hockey League forward has signed with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.
Patrick McGrath, 22, signed with the American Hockey League team on Wednesday.
The native of Wilkes-Barre, PA, played a season and a half with the P.E.I. Rocket, now known as the Charlottetown Islanders, recording one goal and one assist along with posting a minus-7 rating and 229 penalty minutes.
In 59 games last season with the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League, McGrath notched three goals and five assists along with a minus-5 rating and 246 penalty minutes.
