With the 13th overall selection at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, the Boston Bruins drafted Jakub Zboril of the Saint John Sea Dogs.

A native of Brno, Czech Republic, Zboril played his minor hockey with HC Kometa Brno.

Originally selected fifth-overall in the 2014 CHL Import Draft, the Sea Dogs defensemen made his QMJHL debut last season in Saint John. In 44 games as a rookie, Zboril tallied 33 points and 73 penalty minutes.

Zboril has represented his native Czech Republic on five different occasions. Most recently, he scored six points in five games at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament in neighbouring Slovakia.

The six-foot-one, 185-pound blueliner is the second QMJHL-based player to be selected at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in Sunrise, Fla.

The draft continues tomorrow morning with rounds 2-7 at the BBT&T Center.
