Former QMJHL players join X-Men


A pair of former Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players have joined the Saint Francis Xavier University X-Men of the Atlantic University Sport for the upcoming season.

Former Moncton Wildcat, Victoriaville Tigre, and Saint John Sea Dog Mark Tremaine, and former Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Sherbrooke Phoenix Aaron Hoyles, both have joined the X-Men for the upcoming season.

Tremaine, 20, appeared in 223 career games in the QMJHL, recording 26 goals and 73 assists for 99 points along with posting a plus-2 rating and 196 penalty minutes.

Hoyles, 20, recorded seven goals and 38 assists for 45 points in 249 career games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The X-Men open 2015-16 AUS regular season play on the road when they visit Acadia on Saturday, Oct. 10.
