The Victoriaville Tigres acquired overage forward Marc Beckstead from the Gatineau Olympiques in part of a three-way trade today during the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft in Sherbrooke, Que.

Firstly, the Tigres acquired a seventh-round pick in 2015 (112th overall) from the Sherbrooke Phoenix for an eighth-round pick in 2015 (140th overall).

The Tigres then traded the 112th overall pick to Gatineau for Beckstead.

Beckstead, 20, scored nine goals and 20 points in 39 games with the Olympiques this past season. The native of Morrisburg, Ont., was originally invited to Gatineau’s training camp in 2013 and since then has scored 15 goals and 40 points in 97 regular season games.

With the 112th overall pick, the Olympiques selected forward Alexander Steeves of the New Hampshire Monarchs Under-16. Steeves scored 17 goals and 38 points in 28 games with the Monarchs.

Sherbrooke selected Vincent Lampron with the 140th overall selection. Lampron scored four goals and 19 points in 26 games with the Mauricie Estacades.
