Mooseheads select Arnaud Durandeau 7th overall in the QMJHL Entry Draft


The Halifax Mooseheads have selected forward Arnaud Durandeau, 7th overall, at the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft in Sherbrooke, Que.

Durandeau, five-foot-10, spent last season with the Lac St-Louis Lions in the QMAAA. In 42 games with the Lions, he tallied 25 goals and 26 assists for 51 points.

A native of Beaconsfield, Que., Durandeau represented his home province of Québec at the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George, B.C. In six games, Durandeau amassed eight points helping his provincial club to a silver medal.

The 168-pound, left-handed skater played his bantam hockey with the Lakeshore Panthers.

The Mooseheads continue Saturday morning’s draft with four more picks in the opening three rounds.
