Goalie Bouchard dealt by Foreurs for pick
The Val d’Or Foreurs have cleared up a bit of their goaltending picture early in the second round of the QMJHL Draft on June 6.
After trading for the fifth overall pick in round one, and using that to select goalie Dereck Baribeau, Val d’Or dealt goalie Keven Bouchard to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. In return, Val d’Or receives a second round choice in the 2017 draft.
Bouchard, 19, appeared in 36 games with the Foreurs in 2014-2015, registering 15 wins and 18 losses, with a 3.85 goals against average. The native of Métabetchouan, Que., played in four post-season games, registering two losses and a 4.03 GAA.
He is an Edmonton Oilers draft pick, being selected in the seventh round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
