Drummondville acquires forward from Cataractes


The Drummondville Voltigeurs acquired 17-year-old forward Emmanuel Aucoin from the Shawinigan Cataractes today during the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft in Sherbrooke, Que.

In exchange, the Cataractes received a fifth-round pick in 2015 (82nd overall).

Aucoin was pointless in 25 games with the Cataractes this season but maintained a minus-three rating with 13 penalty minutes. Aucoin also skated with the College Notre-Dame Albatros of the QMAAA, scoring seven goals and 11 points in 10 games.

With the 82nd overall pick, the Cataractes selected forward Jeremy Fortin from the Jonquiere Elites of the QMAAA. The Dolbeau, Que., native scored three goals and 12 points in 39 games with the Elites this past season.

The trade was made official by the QMJHL.
