CONFIRMED: Moncton, Shawinigan trade trio of picks with each other


The Moncton Wildcats and the Shawinigan Cataractes traded a trio of picks with each other today.

Moncton traded a first-round pick, 19th overall (originally owned by Cape Breton) along with a second-round pick in 2016 and a third-round pick in 2016 (originally owned by Shawinigan) to the Cataractes.

In return, the Cataractes sent a pair of second-round picks in 2015, 21st and 29th overall, and a fourth-round, 69 overall pick in 2015.

The trade was made official by the QMJHL today.

The 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft gets underway tomorrow at 11 a.m. AST in Sherbrooke, Que.
