Graves suspended one game

The Quebec Remparts will be without defenceman and assistant captain Ryan Graves for Game 4 against the Charlottetown Islanders on Thursday.

Graves, 19, has been suspended one game for cross-checking in an incident that happened during Game 3 on Tuesday, April 14 in Charlottetown.

The Remparts confirmed the news via Twitter.

Graves received a match penalty for the incident at the 16:46 mark of the second period.

The Yarmouth, N.S., native started his QMJHL career in Charlottetown with the P.E.I. Rocket/Charlottetown Islanders before being traded to Val-d’Or last season. Through 10 playoff games, Graves has scored three goals for six points.

Graves is eligible to return to Quebec’s line up in Game 5, if a fifth game is needed in the series, or in Quebec’s next playoff game after Thursday.

Quebec and Charlottetown will play Game 4 on Thursday at 7 p.m. AST at Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown. If a fifth game is needed, it will be in Charlottetown on Friday April 17 with a 7 p.m. AST start.
