The QMJHL has suspended Halifax Mooseheads forward Brandon Vuic for Game 4 of the Mooseheads best-of-seven series against the Shawinigan Cataractes.

In the opening minute of the second period, Vuic fought Cataractes defenceman Dylan Labbé. The two combatants were assessed five-minute majors for fighting and, later, 10-minute misconducts for unsportsmanlike conduct.

After revision, the league judged Vuic as the aggressor in the bout and have banned him for one game.

The Mooseheads tough guy served two suspensions in the regular season for a total of two games. Vuic, 19, finished the regular season with 103 penalty minutes – including 13 major penalties – in 46 games.

Shawinigan leads the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 goes Wednesday night at the Halifax Forum in Halifax, N.S.
