Mark’s Work Wearhouse Flyers capture New Brunswick major midget championship


Patrik Landry had a goal and two assists as the Moncton Mark’s Work Wearhouse Flyers captured the New Brunswick major midget championship, defeating the Fredericton Service Master Clean Canadiens 5-2 at Willie O’Ree Place on Thursday.

Kyle Ward scored twice while Nolan Alward and Chris Sarault also netted goals for the Flyers.

Reed MacKenzie and Andy Chiasson replied with goals for the Canadiens.
Julian Galloway made 26 saves in the win for Moncton while Jack Grant turned aside 34 of 39 shots in the loss for Fredericton.

The Flyers will represent New Brunswick at the Major Midget Atlantic Championships in Kensington, P.E.I., next weekend.
