Sea Dogs’ Imama suspended again

Saint John Sea Dogs forward Bokondji Imama has been suspended two games for checking to the head.

The Saint John Sea Dogs released the news today via Twitter.

The incident occurred on Sunday March 8, 2015 against the Moncton Wildcats. Imama received a match penalty for a check to the head at the 14:45 mark of the second period.

This is the second time in less than a month that Imama has been suspended. Back on Feb. 14, 2015, Imama was handed a four-game suspension for abuse of officials.

Imama, 18, has 12 goals and 26 points in 56 games split between Baie-Comeau and Saint John. The Montreal, Que., native is eligible to return to Saint John’s lineup on Saturday March 14 against Halifax.
