Mooseheads recall Huestis from NSMMHL

The Halifax Mooseheads have recalled goaltender Ryan Huestis from the Cole Harbour Wolfpack of the NSMMHL.

Huestis, 18, will join the Mooseheads in Charlottetown, P.E.I, on Saturday. The Bedford, N.S., native will dress for the Mooseheads in their game against the Charlottetown Islanders on Saturday night.

The Lockview High alumnus recently lead the Wolfpack to a first round win over the Cape Breton Tradesmen in the NSMMHL quarterfinals. Huestis posted a 1.86 goals against average and a 0.940 save percentage backstopping the Wolfpack to the seven-game series win.

Undrafted in the QMJHL, Huestis recently signed with the Mooseheads as a free agent.

The six-foot goaltender lead the NSMMHL this season with a goals against average of 2.24. The former Bedford Baron was named the NSMMHL First All-Star Team this year.

The Mooseheads visit the Islanders on Saturday night before embarking on a three-game road trip in eastern Québec next week.
