Océanic’s Morin suspended for checking from behind

Rimouski Océanic defenceman Samuel Morin has been suspended two games for checking from behind.

The incident occurred during the team’s 7-3 victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs on Saturday.

In 24 games with Rimouski this season, the Philadelphia Flyers prospect has four goals and 19 assists, along with posting a plus-12 rating and 45 penalty minutes.

Morin will be eligible to return to the Océanic lineup against the Gatineau Olympiques on Feb. 22.
