CONFIRMED: Saguenéens acquire Simard from Screaming Eagles
The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have traded forward Timothé Simard to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens for a third-round pick at the 2016 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft.
Simard, 18, has appeared in 147 career Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games between the Val-d’Or Foreurs and Screaming Eagles, recording 11 goals and 33 assists, along with posting a minus-38 rating and 48 penalty minutes.
In 28 games with Cape Breton this season, Simard has recorded one goal and seven assists, along with posting a minus-8 rating and 16 penalty minutes.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League trade period wraps up at 12 p.m. EST.
