CONFIRMED: Olympiques trade Pepin to Foreurs for Bilodeau and picks

The Gatineau Olympiques have traded forward Alexis Pepin to the Val-d’Or Foreurs in exchange for defenceman Gabriel Bilodeau and two second-round draft picks.

Gatineau also receives second-round picks in 2015 and 2016 from Val-d’Or.

The Olympiques confirmed the news via Twitter.

Pepin, 18, was acquired by the Olympiques at last year’s deadline from Charlottetown. The Candiac, Que., native has 10 goals and 14 points in 24 games with Gatineau. Pepin is a former second overall pick by the P.E.I. Rocket in 2012 and has scored 45 goals and 78 points in 148 games with P.E.I/Charlottetown and Gatineau.

The Colorado Avalanche drafted Pepin in the fourth round, 114th overall, in 2014.

Bilodeau, 16, was Val-d’Or’s 19th overall pick in 2014. In 20 games this season, the rookie from Laval, Que., has scored a goal and three points.

The trade period comes to a close as 12 p.m. EST.
