USA storms past Canada East in World Junior ‘A’ Challenge semifinal

KINDERSLEY, Sask. – Seven different goal scorers led the United States to a 7-1 victory over Canada East in the semifinal of the World Junior ‘A’ Challenge on Thursday.

Dylan Gambrell, Brock Boeser, Thomas Novak, Anthony Angello, Kyle Connor, Joe Snively and Tyler Sheehy scored goals for the United States.

Alex Tonge had the lone goal for Canada East.

Eric Schierhorn made 22 saves in the win for the United States while Blade Mann-Dixon turned aside 40 of 47 shots in the loss for Canada East.
