CONFIRMED: Oceanic acquires goaltender Guindon from Volts


The Rimouski Oceanic has acquired goaltender Louis-Philip Guindon from the Drummondville Voltigeurs.

In return, the Oceanic sends a first-round pick in 2017 to the Voltigeurs.

The Rimouski Oceanic confirmed the new today.

Guindon, 19, has posted a 9-13 record with a 3.15 goals against average and a 0.887 save percentage with the Voltigeurs this season. He was originally a ninth round pick by Drummondville in 2012.

Through two and a half seasons with Drummondville, the Montreal, Que., native has posted a 68-53 record with a 2.77 goals against average and a 0.896 save percentage.

The trade period opens today and comes to a close Jan. 6, 2015.
