Foreurs, Tigres make minor deal

The Val-d’Or Foreurs and Victoriaville Tigres made a minor trade today involving a pair of 17-year-old prospects.

Victoriaville sent right-winger Mathieu Nadeau to Val-d’Or for defenceman William Cote.

Nadeau was a second round pick of the Tigres in 2013 and skated in two games last season and three games this season. The Levis, Que., native is currently Midget Triple A with the Levis Commandeurs.

Cote was a fourth round pick of the Foreurs in 2013 and has not played a regular season game in the QMJHL. Cote, of St-Hubert, Que., is playing Midget Triple A with the College Charles-Lemoyne Riverains and has seven goals and 24 points in 41 games.

The trade was made official by the league today.
