The Rimouski Oceanic has traded 20-year-old forward Simon Tremblay to the Val-d’Or Foreurs, the team announced today.

In return, the Oceanic receives a sixth-round pick in 2015 (originally belonging to Victoriaville) from the Foreurs.

The Amos, Que., native is a four-year QMJHL veteran after being drafted in the fourth round by the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in 2011. In three seasons with Chicoutimi, Tremblay scored 27 goals and 59 points in 170 games. The six-foot-one, 197-pound winger was signed by the Oceanic during the off-season and scored seven goals and 11 points in 17 games.

The trade will be made official by the QMJHL shortly.
