Sea Dogs’ Joseph suspended indefinitely

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced that Saint John Sea Dogs forward Mathieu Joseph has been suspended until further notice for a check to the head.

Raymond Bolduc, the leagues Director of Player Safety, will review video of the incident as well as speak to players and organizations involved and look at medical reports, before making his final decision. Bolduc will also consult the Disciplinary Committee as part of the process.

The incident took place Friday night in Rouyn-Noranda as the Sea Dogs took on the Huskies and Joseph was given a five-minute major and game misconduct on the play.
