Titan adds 17-year-old goaltender

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan have acquired the rights to goaltender Samuel Lariviere from the Chicoutimi Sagueneens today.

In return, the Titan sends a 10th-round pick in 2015, originally owned by Shawinigan, to the Sagueneens.

Lariviere, 17, was invited to Chicoutimi’s training camp this Summer. He played with the Montreal Royal Midget Espoir last season posting a 3.60 goals against average.

The six-foot-two, 175-pound Kokkola, Finland native is currently playing with the Montreal-Est Rangers of the LHJQ (Jr. A) and has a 13-9 (won-lost) record with a 4.56 goals against average and a 0.873 save percentage.

The trade was made official by the league today.
