Former QMJHL defenceman Sean Girard signs with France’s Muedon Comets

According to the international transfer page on Hockey Hebdo, former Acadie-Bathurst Titan defenceman Sean Girard will be playing in France next season.

Girard will be playing for the Muedon Comets, a Division 2 team in the French Ice Hockey Federation.

Girard played two seasons with the Titan, seeing action in 124 games, scoring six goals while adding 45 assists and racking up 223 penalty minutes between 2011 and 2013. He recently wrapped up his junior career with the Terrebonne Cobras of the recently re-branded QJHL where in 49 games Girard scored 17 goals and assisted on 33 others while taking in 161 penalty minutes. Prior to joining the Titan in the fall of 2011, Sean spent parts of two seasons with Rouyn-Noranda and part of one with Chicoutimi.

Muedon finished fourth in their group last season, but were eliminated in the division quarter-finals.
