2015 IIHF World Under-18 Championship groupings set

The 2014 IIHF World Under-18 Championships are in the books and with all divisions and groups having wrapped up competition the field has been set for next year.

Dates and locations have not yet been made public by the International Ice Hockey Federation, but the 43 countries spread out through the six individual group competitions and the top division championship tournament have been slotted.

Promotions from this year’s tournament include:

Latvia (from Division I, Group A to Top Division, Group B)
Hungary (from Division I, Group B to Division I, Group A)
Lithuania (from Division II, Group A to Division I, Group B)
Estonia (from Division II, Group B to Division II, Group A)
Australia (from Division III, Group A to Division II, Group B)
South Africa (from Division III, Group B to Division III, Group A)

The list of countries relegated in the 2014 tournament are:

Denmark (from Top Division, Group B to Division I, Group A)
Italy (from Division I, Group A to Division I, Group B)
Poland (from Division I, Group B to Division II, Group A)
Romania (from Division II, Group A to Division II, Group B)
Iceland (from Division II, Group B to Division III, Group A)
New Zealand (from Division III, Group A to Division III, Group B)
