Screaming Eagles’ Lazarev to miss IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship

Cape Breton Screaming Eagles forward Maxim Lazarev will miss the 2014 IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship following suffering a lower body injury during Team Russia’s training camp in Moscow.
Screaming Eagles head coach and general manager, Marc-André Dumont, confirmed the news via Twitter on Sunday.

Lazarev, 17, recorded 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points, along with a minus-8 rating and 12 penalty minutes in 43 games with Cape Breton this season.
The Russian was drafted by the Screaming Eagles at the 2013 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft in round one, third overall.
