MacAulay Signs One-Year Deal with Hamilton
The Montreal Canadiens’ and Hamilton Bulldogs’ GM, Marc Bergevin, announced the signing of Mooseheads’ Stephen MacAulay to a one-year pro-contract this morning.
MacAulay registered 62 points in his final QMJHL season, splitting time between the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Halifax Mooseheads. The Cole Harbour native competed in a record-breaking four Presidents Cup finals in his illustrious junior career, winning three of them.
MacAulay was originally drafted in the sixth round, 164th overall, by the St. Louis Blues in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. The Blues did not sign him and he became a free agent.
The financial terms of the contract were not made available per team policy.
